Cam – “Till There’s Nothing Left”

We finally have a lead single for Cam’s second album. Hopping off her pop-country tropical fusion of her 2015 debut, Untamed, “Till There’s Nothing Left” naturally extends her outside influences with a swarthy, bristled paint brush. Its embers are charred and glow red hot – and it seems apt the song nosedives into sex.

“I wanna steal every breath of fire / From every star in the Southern sky,” she warbles between flowing guitar rhythms and a drum’s syncopated sighs. “I wanna lay down in the dark / And take a match right to your heart…” Cam’s vocal is sensual as it should be but carries with it the weight that such closeness and vulnerability allows.
