Bri Fletcher – “Therapy”

Bri Fletcher finally cuts the cords on a one-sided relationship. “Therapy” perfectly captures the push and pull, like an emotionally savage game of tug-of-war. Her vocals are cool, simply delivering her feelings as a statement of fact, but there is tangible weight to her pleas. “Just give me one second to breathe,” she sings.

“You know that I want the best for you / You know I want to be there, too / But you’re addicted to the drama,” she remarks. The relationship has become like coils of rope around her throat, but through her songwriting, she finds the newly-sharpened scissors to free herself.
