Benedict Cork – “Choices”

Heartbreak can do crazy things to a person. Still a bit delirious, pop singer-songwriter Benedict Cork lets his wounds freely flow. His gutting words spill across the piano. “Choices” reads as a straight ballad, and it’s the vocoder effect that adds an even more mournful sheen over the story.

“I really thought  you’d choose me,” he pleads. But it’s never out of desperation. Cork simply wallows in the misery still pounding in his chest. “Maybe I’m too jealous / Maybe he’s a better me.” He unapologetically rips your heart out, one chord at a time
