2020 has given way to political unrest and the first global pandemic in our lifetime. It can be trying, learning how to navigate such times, and deep emotions can explode without you even realizing it. Folk duo Theo & Brenna express their angst with a poetic-packed tune called “Let Us Breathe Again,” a fluttering and fragile performance.
“The garden’s grew tall / And the robins flew away / They were learning how to fly / And we were learning how to wait,” the duo heave. Their emotional weights soon slip off their shoulders, and while we, as a culture, are still traversing this new normal, we have a song like this for a bit of hope.
