We’re always game for a spooky pop track. One of pop’s most promising, Stela Cole digs her nails into the earth and excavates a song about a toxic relationship and severing ties once and for all. “Graveyard Shift” scratches at the lungs, and you soon witness the pain she’s endured.
“I’m gonna say it out loud / You can’t put me in the ground no more,” she sharpens her fangs. “Got my trigger finger up, gonna shoot it point blank at you.” Cole’s voice possesses you (we been knew, to be honest), but in such a moody soundscape, it carries even more razor edge.
