In Joel Blackmon’s new mid-tempo pop single, “All My Friends Are Lonely,” he paints a picture of the angst and anxiety that comes from loneliness and uncertainty that 2020 has brought us. Whether alone or with loved ones, all of us have experienced some form of loneliness. Blackmon’s simple yet impactful lyricism on the chill Pop track makes it a highly relatable song for the times.
“All my, all my, all my friends are lonely. All this weight is falling on my shoulders,” he admits. “I’ve been thinking, waiting, praying this would make some sense if only, but all my, all my, all my friends are lonely.”
