You know we stan Rina Sawayama in this house. Hardcore. Off the back of her musically eclectic new record, Sawayma, she now goes for a house punch with a new song. “LUCID” fits with her aesthetic, and it might seem it comes out of nowhere, but in reality, it fits her vibe to a T.
“I’ve been lucid dreaming just to see you / I’ve been taking all this medicine, yeah,” she mulls over in the first verse. “Are you real or a hallucination?” Such a provocation sends her spiraling into an elixir so tropical, you’ll forget she even asked.
