I still think about Foxes’ 2016 record, All I Need, at least once a week. Talk about pop perfection! The icon returned earlier this year with a string of singles, punctuated with her latest plaintive ballad “Hollywood.”
Piano and strings accompany her, as she weeps glass tears onto the immovable melody. “And all the lights went down in Hollywood / All the demons out in the neighbourhood,” she cries. Foxes unleashes a relentless power vocal that tears your heart from your chest. She’s the kind of artist that comes once in our lifetime.
