Hearts break, and you move on. It’s one of life’s sourest bubble-gum drops, at first beginning with a tangy sweetness before the center oozes with the bitter. On “Nice Girl,” singer-songwriter Maia Sharp wanders back to a marriage with her now-ex-wife and depicts “this slow ripping apart,” as she puts it.
“You make it easy to fall in love with you,” she sings. “And the rest of it just seems to get too hard to do / Oh, well, i won’t worry about you babe / Hey, you’re gonna make some nice girl miserable someday…”
