Peter Drucker delivered a throat-punch with “Concrete,” and he makes an about-face with “Pathetic,” an orchestral-tinged collaboration with Alyssa Messican. “So save me, save me tonight. If you hate me, keep it yourself, girl,” they sing, bringing a sharp-tongued duality to the lyrics. Emotions boil over, particularly the lovesick kind, perhaps even pathetic, as they attest in the song. But acknowledging it as such is the first step to liberation. Trust the process.
