Ed Prosek has one of those voices that sound so innately true to his entire being. On “If I Die,” the Berlin-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist gets vulnerable as he delivers a timeless love letter. Prosek’s textured and honest vocals guide over the beautiful, acoustic track effortlessly and the listener never questions his intentions.
On the meaning behind the song, Prosek explains, ‘”If I Die’ at its core is a love song that tries to describe the perspective and intransigence of two characters: One a statue, the other a painting. Their superficial differences make them appear as if they’re opposites, but from the right distance they’re more alike than not.”
