The Nashville hustle is unlike most other hustles. They don’t call it a 10-year town for nothing. Eight years since her move, Maren Morris muses about her journey so far with “Circles Around This Town,” a first taste of new music since her 2019 LP Girl. “Couple hundred songs, and the ones that finally worked / Was the one about a car and the one about a church,” she reflects, harkening back to her bluesy breakout smash “My Church” from 2016.
