For a song called “CASKET,” there’s a surprisingly vitality pulse through the acoustic guitar that serves as an adhesive as it shifts between the gloss club floor and a sunset-tinted confessional in the bathroom. As other pop songs have done, there’s a heaviness thick in the lyrics that dig into the skin. “Maybe I can fade into the blackness / You always make the story so tragic” falls off their tongue like acid.
