Tenille Townes’ “When You Need It,” co-starring Wrabel, works as a calming companion piece to Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow.” Both tracks aim to alleviate the pressures of modern living and remind that storms eventually vanish in due time. “When the sun is coming up and you don’t see it / When the odds are coming in and they ain’t even / Even if it’s just to hold your hand and say, ‘Keep breathing,’” sings Townes. In the darkest hours, “sometimes a friend is all we’re needing.” Truly. It’s not about fixing someone or even offering a solution. It is the being there that matters more.
