“Love me when I’m weak,” sings Joy Clark. Her voice is as sweet as an angel’s, fluttering above a finger-picked guitar. “Good Thing” sweeps the senses as a lullaby does, brushed with delicacy and emotional weight. “Love me in the bad times / When we’re not sure where we’ll land,” she continues. The fabric of her heart on full display, it’s a wonderfully tender, urgent, and potent performance. “A good thing is not so easy to find,” she later vows in the chorus. “Take my hand, and it’ll be alright.”
