Teddi Gold – “Technicolor”

There’s nothing as magical as old school Hollywood. From the popular music to the silver screen allure, there was always something ethereal about cinema. Singer-songwriter Teddi Gold has roots in Hollywood, as her great grandparents were both performers in the ‘30s. With “Technicolor,” Gold references her own admiration for classic technicolor filmmaking and culls a more throwback pop sound, at least for the instrumentation. A gold dust seems to cover every second, allowing Gold to invite us into her starry fantasy. “Take me away / We can make our escape,” she sings, envisioning herself in a wind-tossed romance in a classic film. “Float around the moon.”
