After a friend’s divorce via text, a flood of Will Payne Harrison’s own tortured memories filled his lungs. So, he wrote a song about it. “Goodbye, Sweetheart” culls together various strains of heartache into an ice, cold beer topped with froth. “I’ve been stumbling ‘round this town / Tryin’ to find some peace of mind,” he sings, cupping his tears into the tall-boy glass. “Since you went and threw our love away / I’ve been finding comfort in a bottle of gin and bourbon / So I can finally find the words to say.”
