Aaron Taos goes jet-setting around the globe with his new song. “run out of road” hits up all the hotspots, from Montenegro to Croatia, as a way to heal something in his soul. “The salt on my skin / The sun on my back / I’m losing my grip, and no, it won’t last for long,” he sings. His admission, more to himself than the audience, pushes and pulls through his search for something far greater than himself. “Said I’d go get a tattoo / I never went and got that tattoo,” he later quips. “In the penthouse eating fast food / Feeling good, bumping sad tunes.” He’s living his best life, even if the crushing reality that it’ll fade soon enough weighs on his shoulders.
