Jake Wesley Rogers – “Hindsight”

They always say, “Hindsight is 20/20.” This creed becomes the backbone to Jake Wesley Rogers’ romping new song, aptly titled “Hindsight.” A sharply-dressed tune, the latest offering begins with pummeling keys before breaking in half and erupting into a shiny and boisterous and bubbly anthem lamenting the past. “God, I wish I would have known when I was younger / That I should have just danced when I didn’t want to,” Wesley attempts to re-glue his heart together. The chorus whizzes by like flashes of memories, “Mistakes, broken plates / Back seat, third base / Cried in public yesterday,” he sings. “Self care, truth or dare / Actin’ like I don’t care.”
