Zach Bryan’s output this year has been incredible. An EP, a double-decker album, and countless singles have kept the industry’s and fans’ attention, and for good reason. He’s one of the best songwriters working today, full-stop. With “Starved,” he muses on impossible love, the sort that mixes you all up inside. “The road is so hard dear / I bet there’s some hometown bar that we could be,” he sings over jangly acoustic guitar. Even considering the pain running through his veins, he remarks that this “one’s best kept a memory / The purest parts of my heart are you and me.”
