Across her new EP, Build on Bones, Emily Scott Robinson conjures up every manner of witchy things. “Sleep No More” is a particular standout, with its skin-scratchin’ strings swirling starry-eyed patterns. “Go and wash the dress you wore / The blood is on your hands and floor / Sleep no more,” Robinson and collaborator Alisa Amador chant. “The wine is tainted that you poured,” they continue, their voices acting as both prayer and incantation. Something (truly) spooky this way comes.
