Leland – “Bad at Letting Go”

Leland is back, baby! It’s been a very long five years since his “Middle of a Heartbreak,” which still sees constant rotation over here. Fresh and rejuvenated, Leland returns to the dance floor with “Bad at Letting Go,” a freeing and groovy little number about how he’s “good at getting attached” but not so much the other part. “The night just took a detour…” he powers through over rumbling chords. He bounces along the melody like some sort of vocal antelope, yet it’s equally as smoldering and seductive. His heart betrays him, but he gets himself lost in the neon haze of midnight lights and the sweet nectar of potential love. Who could blame him.
