Breaking unhealthy cycles is never easy. In “Biblical,” Sadye cathartically cries her lungs out as a way to healing and finally cutting the cord. “I can’t leave it alone,” she sings. Percussion rings, stinging the air and punctuating the barbed-wire lyrics. Sadye’s voice is hawk-like as it swoops from above and flips through the sky. “Ruin me with your prophecies, so sadistic,” she shreds her heartstrings for the sake of toxic love. “I know you wanna keep me locked in / Purgatory on my knees.” Perhaps now, she can find a saving grace in song.
