In the social media rat race, it’s often difficult to be thankful for what you already have – rather than always looking toward greener pastures. With “Problems That We Prayed For,” country singer-songwriter Colton Venner learns that maybe he should “thank God more,” he sings over acoustic guitar. Co-written with Lauren McLamb and Andrew Peebles, he hopes to instill within the listener the same mentality. His voice rings full of conviction, each syllable carrying considerable weight. It’s easy to forget / We got the problems that we prayed for / We were counting down the days for,” he sings. “I remember every amen, wishing we could get it / Ready for the highs and lows that come with it.”
