Another day, another Vardaan Arora banger. He can do no wrong! With “addicted to sad,” the singer-songwriter admits that, perhaps, sadness is a comfortable place to be. “Without it, I just don’t know who I am / Yes, happy seems to slip right through my hands,” he sings. A thumping heartbeat bursts through the production, and Arora’s voice distorts, getting lost in a club-floor haze of neons and bodies. “Broken, hoping, someday I won’t feel this way,” he whispers. His words barely scrape the surface, as though he’s perpetually drowning in his tears. But he dances it out anyway. Maybe it’ll wash off his skin in time.
