Life is all about change, and nothing ever stays the same. People move in and out of your life, each chapter a blip in your life. With her new song “Slow Motion,” singer-songwriter Maggie Cubillos wrangles her emotions and tries to move on from a snuffed-out ending. “I can’t keep living in slow motion / This waiting for someone to call me home / I’m forgiving my failed attempts at love / But it’s harder to just let it all go in slow motion.” Her words fall like feathers, gently floating in the wind but never really going anywhere. She treads water, as best she can, as she works through the past and forges ahead.
