With a thick backbeat, pulsing like a heartbeat, the singer-songwriter shuffles through an ’80s-inspired dance track that’s an exhilarating piece of music. Summer might be fading, but Archuleta keeps the party going and going and going. “All your words like a weapon / But they can’t hurt anymore,” he sings. “Ain’t no time like the present / In the eye of the storm.” The song begins with acoustic guitar before the handclaps swoop in and the production erupts like a ball of confetti. If you’re not dancing by the end, you just don’t get it.
